This is the very first album under the name Pony Bones. Everything is grandfathered in as Pony Payroll Bones now. What differed the Pony Bones moniker from the previous ones is the approach to sound. A holistic approach was taken to embrace and converge supposed contraries between textural sonics, songwriting, mood, post oblivion maximal minimalist composition, improvisation, poetry, regionality. The day to day reality one experiences in one's environs. The history of one's environs. The folklore of one's environs. The culture(s) of one's environs. Vision of the nightmare ghost south projected into murky universalism like several cattle stumble and the two vietraq blues. What the album also digs deeper is the aesthetic antithesis to rock and roll expression. Obscure forms carve out more clarity. Montag tha cat was my cat at the time and only a kitten. I dedicate the album to him as he recently passed away. Felines live short lives.
