    This is the 8th Pony Payroll Bones album. Black Helicopter Sand Father Precedes this one. Recorded Late Winter early spring 2007---The monochromatic odd shade of blue immersing the strange ill defined people on the front. The nine compositions follow an oblique path between documentation of actual physical experience as emotional. FOr instance 30 degrees below in the archaic farmhouse was pretty much recorded as said at Le Chateau Noir in the second floor pony bedroom where I had the amazing talent to render all three of the three windows in the room broken through acts of stupid violence drunkeness and/or comedy. Le chateau Noir was a drafty place already. Repetition and meditation are the under currents throughout. Alot of apocalypse in this release. Simplistic repetitious trance folk guitars and steady sustained feedbacks. In a sense the album explores the dirt dust and continual shadowing that christians, especially the southern baptists variety gifted bastardardly to the deep south. Hell is always everywhere. The four horsemen are galloping or horrors of horrors the four horsemen were murdered by sadistic vagabonds out on those country roads that wind just above the ravines. Death Got Drunk ends with two songs. Two country folk blues obsessed with death judgment and damnation. Death Got Drunk is a true story and not a metaphor or allegorical personification of Death into two legged good for nothin crippled drunK ass. Death got drunK means Death is always drunk---drunk upon harvesting time///drunk upon harvesting the nameless corpse//Death goT drunK means death is always gonna be drunK on the sustenance of a sorrow derived from the fermentation of our brevity///mortality ... more

The cover is derived from a found photo from the 1940s found in the yard of a house in Murfreesboro Tennessee I had the honor to play at. ZacK Kouns also played that night. We talked into the warming sunlight and i found the photo near some shadows that held on to a frigid depth of spiritual existences.
